Crime Victim Compensation (CVC) is a victim service program created by Colorado law to help crime victims recover financially from the physical and emotional injuries caused during a criminal act. The CVC program can help victims of certain crimes pay for specific crime related expenses or losses.

People who have been the victim of          certain crimes in Adams or Broomfield          Counties.

Immediate family members, domestic          partners and guardians of victims.

Witnesses of certain crimes.

Residents of Colorado who have been          injured or killed by an international act of          terrorism outside of the United States.

 

In order to be approved for CVC assistance you must complete and submit a CVC application. Please review the Applicant section of this website and the CVC application to learn what additional supporting documentation may be required.

All CVC decisions are made by the Board. The CVC Board consists of three volunteer board members appointed by Dave Young, District Attorney.

The Crime Victim Compensation Program was created by law, Colorado Revised Statute 24-4.1-101 et seq., and is operated in accordance with
